Acloset vs Rate My Fit Now: two AI wardrobe apps, compared honestly
These are the two most similar apps on this site, because both use AI to get your clothes in and both will show you an outfit on a version of you. The differences are in how much you have to do, what you pay past a certain size, and what the picture of you actually is.
What Acloset is
Acloset, from Looko Inc, is a digital wardrobe on iOS and Android with a lot in it. Clothes go in by photo, with a detector that finds the item and a cleanup step it calls Beautify that turns a snapshot into a shop-style image, or by importing purchase history from retailers; its homepage names Amazon, Zara and Shein. Once the wardrobe is in, there is an AI stylist you chat with, a personal colour and fit analysis, an outfit calendar, a trip packing planner that looks at the weather, weather-based daily suggestions, and cost-per-wear and most-worn statistics.
It has a try-on, which it calls VTON. It generates an avatar from your photo and dresses that avatar in your own clothes, wishlist pieces or recommendations. And it has a community; Acloset describes its user base in the millions.
On price: up to 100 items is free with every feature. Past 100 items a monthly subscription is required. We could not confirm the current price from the store pages, so check inside the app.
What Rate My Fit Now is
Rate My Fit Now is free on iOS and Android. You photograph an outfit, the app finds each garment in it and files it, and it recognises a piece it has seen before instead of filing it twice. You type where you are going and it hands back complete outfits, from your own wardrobe first and then from labels such as Zara, Gap, M&S and Superdry, and it films five seconds of you wearing one, from a photo you have already added. There is no feed and no public profile.
What it does not do, and this matters if you are choosing: there is no calendar, no cost-per-wear tracking, no manual outfit builder, no packing lists and no web version. Rate My Fit Now is built around one question, what do I wear to this, and answers it with your own clothes. If you want to log and plan your wardrobe the way you might keep a budget, one of the apps below will suit you better.

The try-on difference, because it is the whole point
Acloset makes an avatar of you and dresses it. Rate My Fit Now does not make an avatar. It takes a photograph you have already added to the app, the actual one, and produces a five second clip of you in the outfit, in a plain white room. It is a video, and it is you rather than a stand-in. The trade is that we make ten of them per account, because each one costs us real money to render, while an avatar can be redressed as often as you like.

They are different things. Acloset dresses an AI avatar made from your photo. Rate My Fit Now makes a short video from your actual photo. Which you prefer depends on whether you want to see yourself or a model of yourself.
Can I import my Zara purchases into Rate My Fit Now?
No. Rate My Fit Now only takes photographs. Acloset's homepage says it imports purchase history from Amazon, Zara and Shein.
