Looking for Stylebook on Android? What it does, and what to use instead
Stylebook has been around since 2009 and is the app people mean when they say closet app. It is also iPhone and iPad only, and its own FAQ says there are no plans for Android. If you have just switched phones, here is what you had and what you can have instead.
What Stylebook is
A one-time purchase of $4.99, no subscription, for iPhone and iPad, from a two-person company called left brain / right brain. Clothes go in from the camera, your photo library, or straight from shops through its Shopping feature, with AI background removal and an eraser for tidying. You build outfits as collages on a free canvas, or let Outfit Shuffle deal you combinations like a deck of cards. There is a calendar of what you wore and what you plan to, packing lists built from outfits, and statistics: cost-per-wear, most and least worn, closet count and closet value. Recent versions generate clothing images from text using Apple Intelligence.
There is no Android version, no web version, and no try-on. Stylebook is a very good filing cabinet, and it has never pretended to be anything else.
What Rate My Fit Now is
Rate My Fit Now is free on iOS and Android. You photograph an outfit, the app finds each garment in it and files it, and it recognises a piece it has seen before instead of filing it twice. You type where you are going and it hands back complete outfits, from your own wardrobe first and then from labels such as Zara, Gap, M&S and Superdry, and it films five seconds of you wearing one, from a photo you have already added. There is no feed and no public profile.
What it does not do, and this matters if you are choosing: there is no calendar, no cost-per-wear tracking, no manual outfit builder, no packing lists and no web version. Rate My Fit Now is built around one question, what do I wear to this, and answers it with your own clothes. If you want to log and plan your wardrobe the way you might keep a budget, one of the apps below will suit you better.

What you give up leaving Stylebook
Be clear-eyed about it. If what you loved was the calendar, the packing lists and knowing your cost-per-wear to the penny, Rate My Fit Now will not replace that. It does not keep those records. Whering and Indyx, both on Android, both free, do; there are comparisons of each on this site.

Is there a Stylebook app for Android?
No. Stylebook's FAQ says it is only available for iOS devices, iPhone and iPad, with no current plans for Android.
Can I move my Stylebook closet into Rate My Fit Now?
Not by import. Rate My Fit Now works from photographs of outfits, so the fastest route is to wear your clothes and photograph them over a couple of weeks; each photo files everything in it.
